One of the more impressive projects at the Ronnie VanZant Memorial Park near Lake Asbury, Florida, involves the five acre fishing pond. Construction on the year-long project began late in the winter of 1995. With the digging, filling and landscaping done, the Florida Fish and Game Commision recently stocked the pond with fish. It has been open for fishing since late 1997.
